Dr. Frederic Been is researcher at the Toxicological Centre of the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He holds a PhD in Forensic Science from the School of Criminal Justice of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. His research focuses on using wastewater analysis as a complementary indicator to monitor lifestyle and health status of the population. Inparticular, illicit and prescription drugs, environmental contaminants, chronic diseases, as well as the development of statistical approaches tointerpret the data.
